A publication for and about the expanding research community within the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and its agencies and partners.
Renal care professionals across BC are engaged in a broad range of local, provincial and international research projects -- many in collaboration with BC's educational institutions, including the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University and the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Their work is frequently published in peer-reviewed journals.
Renal programs are also committed to ongoing quality improvement (QI), with numerous local and provincial QI initiatives underway at any given time.
This dedication to research and QI is driven by a desire to improve patient care and health outcomes.
In this website section, you will find
publication references dating back to 2006, as well as a current
list of QI initiatives across health authority renal programs. Our hope is that this information will:
- increase awareness of both specific research outcomes and the breadth of research underway within the renal community of BC; and
- encourage the sharing of research-supported better practices for the care of renal patients across the province.
