The Life and Contributions of Wilma Crockett
A dedicated dialysis nurse who made a huge impact on her professional community, both locally and provincially, Wilma Crockett worked in Trail, BC until her tragic death in 2001. A kidney patient herself, she knew hemodialysis from the other end of the needle. She was a woman with great courage, disarming wit and a positive outlook. She set very high personal standards and was a tenacious advocate for her profession and for those in her care. Wilma was an inspiration to all who knew her. She represents the perfect namesake for this award.
