Western Canada PD Days
2012 Presentations
Presentations from WCPD Days 2012 are now available online.
British Columbia hosted the 21st Annual Western Canada PD Days conference in beautiful Vancouver on February 23–25, 2012 at the Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel.
Western Canada PD Days is a showcase for innovative projects and cutting-edge approaches to the delivery of peritoneal dialysis as experienced by the four western provinces. National and international PD experts were on hand to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for peritoneal dialysis.
Over 150 delegates joined us to:
- Learn about innovative education, research and patient care initiatives that have improved the lives of PD patients from Manitoba to British Columbia.
- Discover ways to expand PD within local communities and unique populations by participating in plenary sessions featuring topics such as PD and the Elderly and Our Involvement in the Advancement of PD in Third World Countries.
- Connect with colleagues and network with renal professionals from across the country.
New This Year!
For the first time, the Saturday sessions were a “PD University for RNs" where novice to expert RNs could enhance their knowledge and skills. This was an excellent learning event for RNs whose primary role is PD, but also an opportunity to involve colleagues in LTC settings, medical and surgical wards, community RNs, ER, etc.
