Champion Training Workshop

40 participants from across all 5 health authorities attended this workshop, including nephrologists, nurses, social workers and pharmacists.

The purpose of this workshop was to support well planned, longitudinal EOL program development across all BC renal programs.
 
Over a day and a half of intense work the 40 participants began to hone their knowledge and skills. Keys areas discussed were:
 

• Patient Identification
• Advanced Care Planning
• Symptom Assessment & Management Focus on Pain
• Grief & Bereavement
• Last Days and Management of Dying
  

Presentations and handouts from the EOL Champion Training Workshop have been posted to promote sharing of the information presented.
