These pharmacies provide BCPRA-funded medications

People with chronic kidney disease often take a variety of medications to help manage their disease.

BCPRA's Pharmacy & Formulary Committee has developed a list of BCPRA-funded medications, and corresponding medication information sheets. Also, we've made a guide to help you select non-prescription medication for common minor health problems.

Check out the Ask a Pharmacist page to find a pharmacist who specializes in kidney disease near you.

We’ve also included a List of Community Pharmacies that provide BCPRA-funded medications.

BCPRA has two general information sheets about kidney medications and coverage – one for dialysis patients and one for kidney patients not on dialysis.

Please note, the information provided on this website is designed to help you understand how the medications you are taking work, possible side effects and precautions. It is not a substitute for talking to your doctor or pharmacist.
